Grianan Aillagn is a fortress built around 500 AD, and it oversees 4 counties, including teh ocean and the lakes coming from the ocean. It was fun to see how they built the stairs and you could imagine soldiers in armor running up these steps to battle. Below shows Bonnie coming into the structure.
Here below we have a view from our hotel window in Dunfanaghy. It will be our home for the next week and we get to ride on the beach every day!
